A New Chabad House

We’re overjoyed to share that Chabad of the Crescenta Valley is taking a huge leap forward: we’re buying a new house to become our Chabad House! This is a dream come true for our community, and we can’t wait to make it a reality.

Since moving to the Crescenta Valley in 2020, we’ve been renting our space, pouring our hearts into building a warm, welcoming home for Jewish life. From Shabbat dinners to classes and holiday celebrations, we’ve grown together, but our rented space has its limits. Now, we’re ready to put down roots and create a home that reflects our shared vision.

The new Chabad House will be located at 2300 Barton Lane, Montrose, CA 91020.

This new home offers transformative advantages:

• • Larger Space: With ample room for Shabbat dinners, classes, and events, the new house will welcome more members and guests, creating a vibrant hub for all.
• • Central Location: Situated in the heart of our community, the Chabad House will be easily accessible to all families in our community, bringing us closer together in learning and celebration. The Crescenta Valley is made up of La Canada-Flintridge, La Crescenta-Montrose, and Sunland-Tujunga. We could not have asked for a more central location, exactly on the border between La Canada Flintridge and La Crescenta-Montrose.
• • Owning Our Future: By owning rather than renting, we gain stability and freedom to shape our space, ensuring a lasting legacy for generations without the burden of rising rents.

We have begun this campaign to collect the necessary funds for purchasing the new Chabad House, with the ambitious goal of raising $180,000.
